I went there with the bike but didn't even stay till the final.

Was surprised how narrow the last km is. That's not a road for a mass spint. Even on television I thougth they were gonna crash at some point.
Every other Belgian race is a sprint on roads that are too narrow to have one on terrain that's too easy not to have one. Part of me would like to see most of those races culled, tbh...

Yeah first time I've seen this one and I was immediately thinking that. In my memory of previous years it looked somewhat wider. Just a small road for 2 cars. And with the reputation of the many crashes I didn't feel save enough to stay. Rather watch the final at home.

Good choice from Mathieu to do a pre-leadout before the narrow fences started. That's what I was worried for, if he was the last man for Philipsen.

Posted in 2022 that Ewan will be at another team in 2024 and nothing that has occurred in 2023 has given me reason to change my mind - He'll have enough suitors - Finally, Lotto need to find a way to get Ewan a win or two before the TDF.

Strange that Ewan is listed as finishing 8th when he clearly finished half a wheel ahead of Walscheid who is listed as 7th. Is this what happens when you publicly question photo finishes in Belgium?
The official site has updated their results. Ewan 7th, Walscheid 8th. Now that there is promotion/relegation in cycling and non-podium placings matter quite a lot, teams are going to have to keep a closer eye on anomalies like this
