Kristoff has won the sprint from the peloton in almost every one-day race he has done this season. In this race, it might even be for 1st place as well ;)

After a hard one day race sure. But in easy races he'll get beat.

Then why does Kristoff win 100km stages? Those are normally for riders w/o endurance.

All his victories are actually from 100 km "half-stages" followed by a TT.

But of course, guys like Bos, Cavendish and Kittel are faster on paper. However, Kittel is out of shape, and Cavendish screws up more often than not lately.

So basically Bos wins :D

Hard to look past Cav if he starts the race.

He has a pretty impressive record here. (2007, 2008 and 2011 Wins)

I have finally realised why I couldn't find this race on tv or why this forum was so quiet with no updates.

The race is tomorrow!? Ooops

Edit: Cav for the win btw.

Afraid I'll be distracted by the International Paint Drying from Longyearbyen and won't be able to find the time to watch this most prestigious of classics.

I didn't realise that was on as well tomorrow. Going to be a busy afternoon by the sounds of it.

I'm sorry to hear that.
Come on there are plenty of other races that are as bad or even worse. This one even has some crashes for the twisted minds to enjoy :)

Cav then Kittel followed by somebody in a lucky position due to crashes, I'll go with CJ Sutton

Gotta be the worst business model ever.

Pros spending hours on the road and noone cares.

I don't know, unipublic say the vuelta has been gaining popularity in recent years.

lol, yes the 15-30 minutes of race action is certainly better than the snapshot in a long flat stage/race.

Can someone explain the hidden ironies surrounding Scheldeprijs in this thread? Don´t people like it because it mostly ends in a sprint royal?
Actually, this is the same at Paris-Tours, which is also 1.HC.
Just curious...

The last 10 years Paris-Tours ended in a bunch sprint 4 times. That's all the difference you need to know. People don't mind a race that sometimes finishes in a sprint (Sanremo, Tours), but this race....you couldn't make it more boring if you tried.

Are you scrambling for streams of this race from 2 PM onwards? I think not. You only need to see the final k. That's a boring race.

A race like this has its place on the calendar, much like a Vuelta sprint stage does, but it's the sort of race that makes people who don't watch cycling wonder why there are people who do.
