I absolutely agree with you on this one. He shouldn't. What I am worried about his mouth is writing checks that his legs can't cash. The racing in the Alps will be much better if he's on form. Much better.

This situation really sets us up for a great race in the alps, but like you said andy is a lot of talk so far without delivering.

Look, Andy is capable of tearing the race apart I think, Frank I'm not so sure. I don't see Frank winning this tour de france. Andy although in a worse position is potentially thier best bet. It is a gamble I guess.

Would be great if ANdy attacked early today.

That's what I am predicting. Hitting Evans hard in hopes of dropping him early on one of the 14% slopes and keep the gap over the top. I suspect Leopard-Trek will work hard to get someone in the break tomorrow and hopefully pace Andy down the mountain.

Only problem is, if we can up with this strategy in this forum then I'm pretty sure ever DS (DS assistant) will come up with the same strategy. :p;)

One thing is that Andy has not shown a lot of heart in his riding. A whole other matter is the comments he has been making to the press. It's a PR disaster.

Strange thing is that Brian Nygaard was the press officer at Saxobank before he left. When he was appointed team manager of Leopard I thought that the public image would be the one thing that this team had under control.

Seriously? He decided the team would dictate to the English speaking world that instead of pronouncing Leopard as "lep-ard" like the big cat, they'd use some whacked Germaniac contortion that sounds out as "ley-oh-perd" and insult the considerable intelligence of viewers world wide. Every LA/Schleck lackey sticks to the damn name...annoyingly. Those commentators with common sense tried it, then stopped and laughed their arses off. To Liggetts credit, he's been pointing out the weaknesses of the Schlecks this year and been sinking the boot in despite sticking with the name. It's not a sign of respect to uphold the ignorance of a few against the majority.

I say this because any team manager with half a brain would not have a team name with a distorted and warped pronounciation that violates all common sense. Nygaard is a moron. Everyone on team Horse Face is a moron. Karma came last night and ate the little muppet up. She's not done with him yet, she wants more. Andy is going to be ridden by Karma till the end of the Tour like a $2 buck *****. There won't be much left of him. Now the excuses come...typical loser mentality. Those people supporting them, are you proud of their behaviour? Still want to have gay cowboy pics of your boy as your avatar? That's what I thought. Sanchez, Evans and Contador were awesome last night.

How about people start talking about which Schleck now has a chance of making the podium. Franck will struggle to beat Samu and Contador onto the podium. Andy is also in trouble to make it ahead of Voeckler on GC! This is fantastic! Maybe everyone could give Andy a headstart tomorrow and let Leopard Trek ride a minute ahead on the road! I wonder how Spartacus can slow everyone else down and let Andy gain time?:D Andy's pathetic racing style has caught up with him. Never had the nads or heart required to win. I'm going to enjoy him getting whooped some more over the next few days. It does suck that Franck will feel obliged to hand over his GC hopes to drag his clown brother around. Such a shame, cause he's clearly better.

any time andy gains on an attack on sestrieres will be neutralized during the long descent. at least frank has showed that he can follow the wheels of the other GC's downhill.

And that being the case, surely BMC would not let that break go.

EXACTLEY! Anyone who pronounces the team's name with a fancy Euro accent is an LA lackey. And, er, um... other teenage stuff.

The one's on Aussie tv are. That's old news. Just another reason to laugh at them some more between grimacing in pain at their rampant idiocy.:D

If you had to listen to Anthony Tan and Mike Tomalaris disect a race stage between jersey presentations you'd be ripping your hair out of your head as well.

I saw a quote on one forumist used as a personal signature. Did Liggett really say last night that Andy Schleck was the people's champion, nobody likes AC and Cadel was unknown?

Anthony Tan has the personality of a used tampon! I watched their recap / summary last nite and way dry heaving, nearly as much as when Paul Sherwin kept referring to Xabier Zandio as Xavier Tondo.

If I hear Sherwin describe one more time, how Lay-Oh-Pard got their name from the German tank cos it's bullet proof etc, I am going to scream.
Likening the name after a rugged German tank, and crossing AS sulking after he flopped in the hills don't really compliment each other..

They're riding and talking as if they are wearing yellow and everyone is after them, yet they are behind Voekler!

That Tan guy has no idea what he is talking about... he really annoys me.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a Mike Tomalaris/Anthony Tan hatred. My GOD they suck!

I guess SBS had to get the only cycling journo (cringe!) with less knowledge than Tommo to stand beside him-Dave Mackenzie was outsmarting him without saying a word.Listening after the stage it was as if they hadn't watched it at all-which,in Tommo's case, would be true.

I get the impression half the time that Tomolaris is more interested in the free trip and accomodation that SBS gives him, than the race itself.

It's almost like he gets someone to tape it for him, then he watches a 10 minute highlight reel, then summarises that on the post race wash up!

I think he prefers when Phil Anderson or Scott Sutherland are 'special guests' on the day, cos he can let them talk for the allocated time allowance, letting Tomo off the hook!

The way that Tan and Tomolaris talk after a stage is like they were the only ones who saw it and the viewers have never seen a bike - let alone a bike race - before in their lives. I'd love to see SBS throw some money at Phil Anderson to get him in the commentary team.

Back on topic - A suggestion for Nygaard. Lock Andy in a room with Jens for an hour or two straight after the next Leopard Trek press conference...

Then see AS start the next stage with a black eye! They need Jens as AS' wheel man up the hill - AS would be too scared to drop off then!

Tomo is a ****. Full stop end of story. He has no clue. Should go back to commentating Soccer.

Anyway, this comment from A Schleck shocked me.

Q What does this 1 minute loss mean?
A: I don't think it means much

You lost the fricken tour by less than a minute you moron!

They got Phil Anderson on one time, and no disrespect to him, but he was all over the place and annoyed me just as much as Tan and Tomo (can't be bothered to spell his name)

He would probably do 1000x better though since he is an ex pro

Don't call it soccer bro, it's football (the best sport in the world).
I wish Les Murray was a cycling commentator - best pronunciation of a foreign names, bar none!

If only Martin Tyler was a cycling commentator too!
