The first elbow was from Contador who was trying to gain positions. Karpets then returned the favor .........albeit with a little more force. :D

I heard it was thought that their handlebars somehow got entangled or something to that effect. I'd heard so many different interpretations I don't know which is fact and which is fiction. The video of it, if I recall correctly, both of them are a bit obscured by the other riders so it wasn't clear what actually transpired except for Contador suddenly heading towards the curb.:(

Sooo... I'm free to say that Alex and Fränk are idiots for blowing this one up?

Honestly; I like the Schlecks! I like all the riders... I liked them when they were on CSC/Saxo and I still like them. It's not because it's one of the Big bad Schlecks against a Danish rider I think it's stupid, it's because it's two grown men acting like teenage girls!
I'm on nobody's side in this one.

Did that even make sense?

I just read the following in an interview with the Schlecks in procycling:
"Frank tells us about last years Galibier stage, when Andy launched his epic attack 'Actually the tactic was to focus more on me.That's why we sent Andy out extra early because nine times out of ten, he'd get caught' The idea was their rivals would have to chase Andy and 'once they'd caught him they'd be tired and I could have attacked and made a big difference. But Andy pulled a big big number. He was stronger than anybody'". He also says in the interview that the moment he crashed in 2010 was the moment the Schlecks lost the tour.

They know better who stronger. I don't see anything new in these statements. It seemed to me we all watched that Andy sort of tried to give the Tour to Frank.. They both really believed Frank was able to win. Frank's ambitions is a difficult matter... But I bet even this year he hoped to win the Tour.

I think no one is guilty in such situations. That was a typical racing mini clash. Everything happens so quickly that impossible to react. However I can understand Frank. Big disappointment сovered a common sense for him.

I strongly dislike Andy, I won't concede that point, but I try to like Frank, but he has a habit of letting me down. He is at least a bit classier than his brother, and does try to make races more interesting usually... but then again sometime he does very unintelligent things.

Its called racing, $&|T happens, otherwise its just a fun ride.

Although, I do like for there to be such rider animosity issues to at least add to the drama ;), beats the heck out of the huggers from the 2010 Tour (names withheld for obvious current forum issues).

If no1 is guilty Frank should stfu and not name and shame publicly. Sur he is disappointed but dont go blame every1 and everything. It was the same thing after the descent in last years Tour, and during this years LBL. Always someone else who is at fault

Alex:
“Frank’s word ranks a lot more than mine internationally, so when he says something, people believe him. I can do nothing but say that I didn’t do anything wrong,” he said. “I am not upset about it. In the heat of the moment, he is just probably looking for an excuse and that’s it.” :D

Quote from article:

Jeg ved, hvad der skete, og nogen af hans holdkammerater har været henne ved mig og fortalt, at det var rigtigt, at det skete i svinget og ikke på det lige stykke, hvor jeg gav Christian et skub.

Translated just for you guys :) :

I know what happened, and some of his teammates has been by me and told that it's true that it happened in the curve and not on the straigt section where I gave Christian a push.

Maybe Fränk was just so heated by the moment that he seriously can't remember what happened, even his own teammates agree with Alex and he still won't listen.

Ye Alex actually adds "He has mixed those two seperate incidents, but I dont think he will listen to me nor his own teammates".

Its getting ridiculous, but over the years I surely see a pattern of selfdenial and blaming others. To bad really.
