Nice, this year we have an interesting startlist, Henao finally returns and the colombian Movistar team, we finally get to see Oscar Soliz racing in europe, even if I have prefered to see him in a more climbing heavy race at altitude. They also have Freddy Montaña and Diego Ochoa could be an interesting prospect. If CCC don't loose too much time in the TTT Rebellin could be one of the favourites.

Cummings is the man to beat but Sky will desperatly try to drop him.

Glad to see Henao back.

Also wonder how top Italian u23 climbers will race, Ciccone and Moscon are both in good shape and should try to stay as long as possible with the best in mounatins. Top 10 is possible.

2) Grega Bole (CCC Sprandi)
3) Patrick Clausen (Trefor Blue Water)
4) Asbjorn Kragh Andersen (Trefor Blue Water)
5) Ben Swift (Sky)
6) Edwin Avila (Colombia)
7) Francesco Gavazzi (Team SouthEast)
8) Davide Viganò (Team Idea)

Looks like half the field lost more than 4 minutes on the first "little" stage.
Well Sky set a pretty high tempo.
The other thing is that I'm pretty sure that most doms were told to take it easy once they'd get drop so that they'd still be fresh for the TTT on the same day. So I'm pretty sure that most guys didn't even try to get pack into the main field once they got dropped on one of the climbs.

Just like i thought, Sky rode stage 1a way to hard and payed the price in the TTT, 16'34" last right now, 1'20" behind SOuthEast. Sky only had 3 riders at the finish line.

Rebellin takes the race lead lol
Nice
1° CCC-Sprandi (101 REBELLIN, 103 KIENDYS, 106 KUREK, 107 MARYCZ) 14'49''
2° Sky (1 SWIFT, 2 DEIGNAN, 5 SIUTSOU, 6 BOSWELL) 14'50''
3° Mtn-Qhubeka (91 MEINTJES, 92 VENTER, 94 JANSE VAN RENSBURG, 98 CUMMINGS) 14'53''
4° Androni Giocattoli (31 PELLIZOTTI, 35 STORTONI, 36 FRAPPORTI, 37 TVETCOV ) 14'57''
5° Colombia ( 71 AVILA, 73 DUARTE, 75 RAMIREZ, 77 QUINTERO) 14'58''

Colombia being 5th and only 9 seconds back in a TTT is another surprise, Henao was on the wrong team and lost 1'45" to Rebellin.
