Long time reader...first time poster.
Watching the Giro, I have noticed quite a few riders that have what appears to be some sort of "brace" on their shoes that looks to be attached at the heel and has straps going around the ankle and down the front of the shoe.
Look at Sivtsov's shoe for example, but other riders as well.
Does anyone have more info on this device and what it is supposed to accomplish?
