baldini went just 4 seconds slower in freaking 1962 when there was no asphalt.pushed by the fans all the way but still...1962.muro never used since then so no hard to beat and they almost managed not to beat it lol

i've read that in of those amateurs cronoscalata's the record was set in 2007....7 minutes and 38 seconds.now that's fast

I know its strange to see Ryo showing off a sense of humour but it was ;)

The most impressive thing about this guy is that he keep his great shape since middle of july when he was riding well in Poland. I bet he could finish 4th on Vuelta this year if he didnt have to work for Froome. And he's my no.1 for Beijing. I really wish him a win, he deserves that after such a great first season.

I wonder how much he may improve next year...

Maybe he could have but remember Uran was in good GC position but Sky still drove on when he had an incident, it would have been too late for him to get 4th as he worked for Uran/Froome at the start and Moreno was never far behind the top 3.

I think Samu will win Beijing.

The guy started the season with a 3rd place in Mallorca in February!

henao is basiclaly a rider with incredible base level. comparable to evans that when not injured is always at very high level. still henao's real topshape usually doesn't come until august. at least in colombia. he won a vuelta colombia in august and he was good in rcn in october.

They followed a different path in their careers and at the moment I think neither Henao knows if he's already at full potential or not.

no way. he was as a junior. but henao has shown far more progress since. he was already better this year imo despite his first year in wt
Henao has never been stronger than Urán this year, and both are from 1987, although Uran I admit it is almost a year older...Henao is realy good, but no better.. sometimes the team give him the lidership as in Poland or my home Burgos, thinking he will work for Uran other more important moments, but no for other reason.
He could improve, but not a lot, he wasnt really new in Europe, and he ran some races in north america with the best rides of the world as well
Uran as well is going to improve.
Henao is more determinated, Urán sometimes is just getting fun in the race, but he has an incredible talent, so I dont like both of them are in SKY.
Urán was 4 th in the Vueta when he flat and decided to stop and just help a little, thinkiing about Lombardía.
Anyway Henao has been impresive through the hole year :)

He finished 1:53 back from Uran at the Giro .

He had to wait for Uran at least at the Stelvio though.

He certainly looked stronger than Uran in most of the rest of the season

Henao finished the Giro stronger than Uran. He was much stronger on the Stelvio stage, and even, to my great surprise, did better in the final time trial. In the Vuelta it's difficult to say, because Uran sat up on a few stages to save energy. Given that the Giro was Henao's first GT, I think it's pretty clear that he recovers better than Uran.

To me it's clear Henao is twice the talent Uran is. In his first year Henao achieved soo much.. and it's clear he's got the key to win a GT - very good recovery. Looking forward seeing him next year.

At Giro he worked in a few occasions for Cav while Uran was kept at team leader, while the Vuelta he would have finished much higher without a puncture, in the stage ending in the motorracing track.

Quintana >>>>>>> Henao ~~ Uran

I rank Henao and Uran about equal, they have very similar styles but each have the spot they are a little better at. They are both wonderful attacking riders. As i've said before on this forum. There are pretty much two Sky teams.

A) The boring awful team with Wiggins, Froome, Rodgers, Cav
B) The young (not as dominating) team of Uran, Henao, Swift, Nordhaug.

The Sky B team is awesome to watch. The A team sucks.

Yet team A has nearly all of their wins this season.
