You have four riders who have a shot of winning the whole enchilada and you select a rookie?

When you have riders like Noval and Horner on the sidelines, it makes you scratch your head.

If anyone thinks that 'Armstrong is running' the show' - I think this says otherwise. When Armstrong was 'the boss' he just wanted to have the best team around him. The flag after name mattered little.

But I guess if you pump tons of money (however delayed) into a team you want at least one rider from your country to ride the tour.

It will be interesting to see how Dimitriy Muravyey does. I hope he rides well.

Did not JB use "rookies" during the LA run of 7?

The contract stipulates he must take 3 kazakhstanis to every major race.

They stopped doing that the moment the financial trouble started.
They're still not doing it.

So this selection is purely based on sporting grounds.
