Bernard Thevenet.

Pra Loup 75. The last scenary where Eddy Merckx wore the yellow jersey. The belgian fell like a champion, attacking all day, finally in the last climb of the day, Pra Loup, he would be beaten by Bernard Thevenet.

The Alps arrive at the Tour de France. 12th stage between Saint André de la Roche and Pra Loup, 211 kms with 5 climbs, three of them "hors catégorie"
A day for pure climbers and diesel riders.
The GC could suffer many changes after this stage.

In the peloton anybody is decided to control the breakway... BMC is in the front, but they are putting a comfortable pace. This is the reason why the breakway have ¡¡7'!! of advantage! and are still for come the five ascents of the day.

Tejay Van Garderen has showed weakness and BMC dont want to make the race for the other contenders.
Garmin Sharp dont have any type of responsability...
SKY is not in these moments in conditions for make a secure bet with Dombrowski.
