Just like Lance chatting to Wiggo on the climbs. Dawg has the ability to start up a conversation with Porte. That stage is even more ridiculous when I watch now in hindsight. I'd say Porte was worse than Froome that day. He Clinic broke that day for the rest of the Tour

I think tailwind helps yes. On ventoux Dawg was chatting on the radio while climbing faster than Lance. After 200 km+ of hard racing and about 5 alien attacks that Brailsford said was not possible in the new era.
