Anybody cares to give new information about the Sky team in the Tour?

It's been discussed in a couple of other threads.

Most likely in my opinion is:

Froome
Wiggins
Porte
Lopez
Kiryienka
Thomas
EBH
Stannard
Eisel

Uran, Siutsou and Knees as possible alternatives depending on form post-Giro.

Possibly although I believe Sky have promised Thomas, Stannard and Eisel a Tour spot this year so it would be tough to get in. The likes of Thomas and Stannard will be very useful for the TTT aswel.

Where did you hear about those three being promised a spot, that's interesting as it pretty much confirms the line up.

Just little bits of info on twitter over the start of the season. I don't usually pay any attention until its confirmed however it's looking increasingly likely that will be the team and have no reason to think otherwise.

I don't think it's been confirmed but logically: Thomas is a very good all-rounder so will easily make the team on merit. Stannard went to the pre-Tour training camp in Tenerife, is British, strong on the flat and in the TTT, showed well at Bayern and is in the Dauphine team. Eisel would have left Sky with Cavendish if he wasn't at least promised a Tour spot (form depending). Plus they were very happy with his contribution at last year's Tour. He's very experienced, a good road captain and very useful on the flat (which if you've seen this year's route you'll realise there's a lot of!). Corsica in particular will be a blood bath. Strong and experienced flat doms will be very valuable.

I can see the logic for sure, I thought someone might go in place of Bernie (but get why he would be selected) the other 8 I thought would be on the team I was just wondering if I'd missed something about it being promised/confirmed.

Would he? I don't think Eisel cares too much about riding the TDF. He has ridden it many times and it's not like he can win a stage with this team. He got his chances in the classics, I think that's all he asked for.

Eisel said being a part of last year's Tour win was the highlight of his career.

EDIT:

Career highlight:

Riding onto the Champs-Elysees at last year's Tour de France with Bradley in yellow, Froomey second, and Cav winning the stage. It was incredible.

Favourite race:

The Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and Tour de France. I always enjoy riding them.

Funny part is, the best chance for Wiggins to win is if he rides in support of Froome. If the 2 ride for themselves I think we can agree wiggins takes the TTs and Froome the MTFs, the winner is then the one who does best in their off suit. TTs team work doesn't matter. MTFs well sky run their train, 3rd last rider pulls off and leaves Wiggins, Froome, and...Contador, Rodriguez? To limit losses the best thing Wiggins can do is pick up the pace and keep the train going. There is every chance noone will be with them and Froome will look like a tool if he sprints for the stage, and if nothing else it means the attacks will start later.
