Right at the moment I pick Cadel although a lot of this is with heart and not necessarily with the head!

The man i most fear is Andy he has the ability to comfortably take 1-2 minutes off Evans and if he is up by 1-2 mins on evans heading into TT i think he could hold on.

I think AC is really struggling with injury at the moment although, i still think he is a rough chance considering in the TT he will still possibly do the best (or 2ND best time) compared to the other GC's. Meaning he just needs 2-3 mins on Evans heading to TT and potentially less than a min compared to the Schlecks.

Having said that Evans is on the form of his career so taking some decent time off of him is going to be a lot easier said than done!!!

Andy Schleck will win this. Not thanks to his brother setting him up on a crucial climb, but thans to Contador. Contador will be stronger in the alps and will launch a hard attack that only Andy can follow and becasue hereof Andy will gain sufficient amount of time on Evans and Voeckler, and still be 1.45 infront of Contador.

Contador needs to recover about a minute to AS and Evans in the Alps to have options in the TT. Seeing how nervous is AS and the history of failures of Evans I actually bet Contador will do it. He has personality and hunger, something seemingly underrated by many.

Well, on the one hand there's barely enough brains among the GC contenders to prevent that from happening, but on the other this is the kind of situation where everybody is sad enough to ride to defend their 13th place in the GC. It's hard to tell.

The riders are listed in GC order, so if you dont know the second person on the list is, then its the second person on the GC. In this case Franklin being Frank Schleck.

The only exception is Jelle Vanedert who isnt in 9th but he is named properly anyway.

After yesterday I've changed my mind, have to say I think Cadel is the favourite for me now, don't think that any of the other GC guys taking enough time off him before the TT.

I am one of the 31%. Why?

- Other than Basso he's the only one on the list with a winning pedigree in GTs.
- The others have failed to distance him when they had an opportunity.
- Andy Schleck who is the only one who can match Contador on the Cols isn't riding with a brain.
- Contador will launch a big attack on stage 18, guaranteed. I will only bet against him once stage 19 is complete. He needs to be within 1 minute of Andy, 30s of Cadel and 2 minutes of Voeckler by the TT to be able to overhaul them.

I think Evans. If not Evans, Contador. Based on his own statements, I don't see how Andy can win. He says Plateau de Beille was not steep enough for him to make a difference - look at the Lauteret/Galibier profile. Furthermore, before the Tour he and the Leopard management were open about the fact that the Alpe d'Huez stage is bad for Andy and Frank because it is too short. The only plausible scenario is if he follows an attack by a rejuvenated Contador and they cooperate to put time into Evans and Voeckler... but its unlikely Contador would cooperate in this situation, given his deficit to Andy. I really think he's blown it.
