...and there I was thinking that JP was a great guy....all my illusions about just about everything are now irrecoverably shattered...

...though seriously now, this little bit of info should be posted anywhere and everywhere where that dear man appears on this forum....just to remind folks who we are dealing with...

...and good on Barrus to do what he considered to be the right thing ( which given what he had put into this forum thingee could not have been easy )...on a number of levels a very sad outcome to a sad state of affairs ( none the least of which is the fact that this forum lost a very good man )...

...and also props to RR for being so darn saintly in this circumstance...

wow...and we just came through months of people saying Floyd was a rat? like outing the truth to the authorities is a bad thing? Joe Papp is the worst and most revolting kind of rat - selling out a good guy to the bad guys. my personal jury had still been out on how much respect to give to his posts, but now it's unanimous - less than zero.

Nope. I tried logging in this morning to read a bunch of PM's. I was able to log in but to allowed to post or respond to PM.

Red reached out to me and said there was an issue with the new log in, I was flagged as "user awating email confirmation".

As for what I wrote a few days the reason is clear. I raised an legitimate issue with the forum, a concern shared by many others at the time, and the response was "Don't use it then". This was followed some pretty unprofessional actions by CN, followed by a mess of miss-communication, and ended with more ridiculousness.

I have tried to be as helpful as possible with CN, both in an outside of the forum. It was my goal to help this a more user friendly environment. Now I have a key member of their staff comparing me to Lance and Johan because I objected to their unprofessional actions and when I do try to log in an post I am blocked. Papp is still here, sending me ridiculous PM's like nothing ever happened

Way too much 6th grade drama for me.

Problem is you have not been taking the "investigation" all that seriously. It doesnt exactly warrant faith from the accusers if you post a picture of someone photoshopped...

This shouldn't surprise anyone. He was selling drugs while testifying about using drugs. It seems that a lot of people fell into the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing with Papp. He reached out to me as well and yes, I immediately ignored him because it was pretty obvious he was still playing some game. So, in a certain sense I think "caveat emptor" or whatever...


That said, I think CN showed very poor judgement in not banning him. Between this and not being able to log in without adblock, my desire to log into the forum section is reduced about 90%.

I knew CN were not reall bothered about cycling and the truth, this confirms it yet again in their manner of dealing with what most have agreed is a serious matter.

If you want to see it from this end, and you have a legitimate desire to make this place better, I would urge to you ask to become a mod and help us out.

I am not sure that the CN powers that be would welcome many clinicians as moderators. I can't really see an application from myself or say TFF going down too well.
