2 South African Internationals have tested positive for methylhexaneamine.

Article claims this is a mild stimulant with "amphetamine like" qualities.

Considering how enormous rugby players are (just as big as NFL nowadays) what is this product actually being used for? A masking agent? Part of a combination therapy? a training aid?

South Africa are currently the most physical and brutally (effective) one dimensional team in the world. Any whiff of an organised programme I wonder?

I know there were rumours about England back in the early 00's...

Same thing which went through the Comm Games and was rumoured to have caused a dozen or so (as yet undeclared) positives in Australia (ASADA coverup as usual).

Seems to be the power athletes, sprinters, rugby players who are getting caught.

Whilst the link below is not subject to just rugby players, by searching through the numerous pages you do get the impression that rugby (in the UK at least) is a protected sport considering the lack of media coverage versus the number of positives.

Just because you haven't read any reports, it doesn't mean they weren't reported.

Just googling for the two rugby names on that first page reveals reports on the BBC website about both of them (and they're not exactly star names - one of them plays for Malta!):

Some anecdotal evidence. I went to a sports college from 1979 to 1981. One of my mates played rugby for a local team, not county standard, just in a local league. He told me that he took amphetamines before every game to make himself more agressive! I have no reason to believe he made this up.

is SA position on this that the flu-like symptoms of the players(s) led to the team doctor advising to use supplements which had a quantitative amount of that dope as a constituent - and that more than these 2 players used the same supplement ??
