So it seems that the Vuelta Mexico Telmex is happening this year. I found out a few days ago that the route had to be rethought so as to avoid passing through Michoacan because of the violence going on there. It was planned to have stages riding from Guadalajara into Michoacan, but that's no longer the case. Instead, the race's six stages will pass through Morelos, Tlaxcala, and Mexico City when the race starts on March 4, ending on the 11th.
It's said that there are 30 teams asking for an invitation. Of those, I believe 15 will be international teams with five or six being national teams.

Ok, we know enough about Quintana, but what about Malori? Why can't he be a top rated cobbles rider ( P-R) Whats missing?

I'm sure there will be a lot of price money as there always is in mexican races

why should he be good on cobbles? he doesn't have the characteristics(rather light) or engine and he's never been good on them.

In women's cycling, Mexico debuts this year with a continental team named Estado de Mexico-Faren. I believe it's a past Italian team which Mexico has acquired the license of. Apart from Mexican riders, there are several Italian riders, one British, and one Brazilian.

Next will be a men's team........ hopefully.
