Of course Astana keeps the pro tour license, so the new team will probably have to be a continental team for a while. The license do not grow on trees and are not the easiest to get. Any rider will have to weigh that in his decision.

Radio Shack? Really? Dang, maybe they should also get Pic n Pay Shoes. Gotta say that at least Oracle has some cachet, but Radio Shack? I don't know what the European equivalent would be, but think of a store with $99 home theater systems, cell phones, and cheap Taiwan made batteries. Man, The Uniballer was willing to drag the bottom of the barrel for a chance to get second in the 2010 Tour.

Navarro and noval will follow Contador and Rubiera AFAIK is finally retiring.

Noval has been a long time JB rider. I don't know that it's a given that he will follow Contador instead of JB. Paulihno will definitely follow Contador, since he was Alberto's personal pick for the Tour team.

They may sell junk, but Rat Shack is loaded with money. What can I say? Americans love junk, as long as it is cheap. Could be worse. Could be Walmart.

Or Kmart . . . Here comes Team Blue Light Special!

My local Radio Shacks are near empty. The shelves in the middle of the store were all removed. If they have extra $$ . . . you got me where it's coming from.

Wo joins the team...?

Klöden... likes to be a super-domestique, part of the old guard
Hincapie... seemed obvious until the chase-down.
Popovich... lance got him to upss, discovery
Liepheimer... LA-LL bromance

anyone else?

Basso? They've seemed to have a close relationship in the past, but doping might throw this off...

Taylor Phinney? Too soon?

How much money will they have? Is it on an Astana/Columbia/Saxo/Katyusha or a Skil-Shimano level? I'm surprised the shack has any money left. So, what is it?

Wasn't the narrative last year that the young riders are clean while the old guard ...

Scratch that than, since "we've always been at war with Eastasia".
