has Miller saying:

"I spent 180 km by myself convinced I was going to abandon or be eliminated. At 100 km to go I was 30 minutes down on the leaders. All I could see in my head were the contours of the stage from the maps.

"I broke it up into five km climbs and kept thinking - I have to get through this."

Bradley is keeping pucker too.

Follow Kiplling's advice:
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Sigh... My uncle is going to be in the Rabobank team-car for this stage, because he was invited by the bank, and will be right next to Adri van Houwelingen, and for some reason decided to take his wife along instead of me. I'm soooo **************************ing jealous.

So are you still on speaking terms with your uncle?

I can't see the short-cut through the field on the map?

You'd hope someone French, as they won't have much in the GC to get too excited about.

I'd hope for Vino. I would like to v2.0 notch up a TdF stage. Doubt if he can get this today, but he knows the (long) way.

Kudos to Cadel for persevering yesterday. He ain't the first and he won't be the last, but I have nothing but respect for the pain these guys can cycle through, and those that go to the far end on that deserve applause (and a free ride in the yellow van).

OK, forget Vino, I'm now rooting for someone Rabo, unlikely as it is. I bet you'd never get over it if on top of that, a Rabo won :D

Why isn't the last uphill section ranked? On the map it looks like a decent something? I expect some darkhorses in the top 20 to make a move to move some spots up, at least I hope so :p

Anyome know what happen to Millar to roll in last on his own?

Apparently he has some number of broken ribs, not sure when he crashed though. He says he rode 180km of yesterday's stage on his own, Kenny van Hummel style.

Wow.... Talk about pressure. I think that's the 5th time we've seen Voeckler so far.

When you are wearing the French National Champions Jersey, in the Tour de France, on Bastille Day, with French TV camera's.

Its bound to happen.
