We've seen before that wearing yellow makes you time trial like an absolute madman, so I don't think Contador taking 2+ minutes out of Schlecklet in the ITT is a done deal, but I think Andy needs at LEAST three/three and a half minutes advantage to have a good chance of defending.

Three, three and a half minutes to have a chance?!
He isn't riding against Canc in the worlds you know.
If Andy has yellow going into the final TT, he'll lose 1:30-2:00 to AC.

well it would be really suspicious if andy holds his own in a time trial when hes on a road bike, and one built especially for cobbled classics at that ;)

Was talking about why andy was collecting bottles from the team car.

You're just on of the people who don’t believe in cycling, you cynics and sceptics: I'm sorry for you. I’m sorry that you can’t dream big. I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles.

About 25 km I think. According to Cycle Sport they're due to reach the top at 16:43 (CET).

AAAAARRRGGHHH!!!!

I still can't get over the fact that my uncle had lunch with Joop Zoetemelk, and I'm sitting on my ass behind the TV... All those times my uncle and I went biking together, and talked about cycling, and instead he chooses the mother of his children to accompany him.:mad::mad:

IAMSOMAD!!!!!

Lunch with Zoetemelk...

-So you won the tour right?
-Yep
-Tell us about it
-Pfffff
-And your World title?
-I attacked in the end and won solo
-That's it?!
-Pretty much
-How was your time at Raleigh?
-Can I eat now?

Andy lost 42 seconds to Contador over less than nine kilometres in the prologue this year, and let's not forget that Alberto beat Spartacus in the final ITT of last year's tour. Obviously I don't expect Andy to do as badly as he did in the prologue, but again going back to last year's final week ITT Andy lost 1'44" to Contador over a course that was 10km shorter and had much more climbing than this year.

I think Andy could easily lose 2'30" to Alberto in Bordeaux, even if he is in yellow.

IMO, a pretty fair ACF impression.

In the absence of entertainment, and more importantly of acf, this stage 10 discussion is quite witty.

I'm about half way through the second season but struggling a bit as I'm finding it a bit dull compared to the first... is it worth pushing on, or scrap it and jump to the third?

I was joking, It's a slightly modified Armstrong quote from his farewell speech after his seventh Tour win. Since you "accused" Schleck of motor doping I thought it was funny to repost that in Schlecks' "defence". I considered putting I smillie in, but I though the joke was obvious and I hate being to unsubtle. Apparently it was less obvious than I though, or perhaps just less funny. *insert smillie of your choice here*

I know you were joking. And i can tell you were paraphrasing armstrong, even though i was not familiar with the speech.

hence why i put your post in my hall of fame of great posts in last 30 mins (above)

Keep watching and stop after 4.

Can't skip anything if you want to pick it up again later on IMO.
Thought the second season got better near the end and Beadie is great :)

Off topic but as there's nothing going on..
Just finished second season and felt pretty much the same way but it the dock stuff does get more interesting and towards the end the focus shifts back to the drug stuff.

IMHO Andy is stronger this year than in '09. AC might be a little weaker. Andy had nothing to gain going flat out last year in the TT.
I wouldn't read much in the prologue results, as it was too wet and short to give a real indication of form.
IMHO 1:30 is what Andy can defend. Question is, can he get those extra 50 seconds?
