Land looks so cool and comfortable behind... I think he's going to win the stage... DARN!!

Why the hate for Landa? He's ridden an incredible Giro and has only be held back by Astana. It's hardly his fault his team rode.

Now he's already won a stage, and since he's gotten his reward I'd love to see Kruijswijk win. But he would hardly be an undeserving winner. Actually all 3 of the leaders would be more than deserving.

Meanwhile I can't help but be reminded of the commentators saying it would be silly for Landa to go since he was about 2 minutes behind Aru, I remember thinking he could probably do that today alone, and seems I'll probably be right. After today Landa will be the undisputed leader.

Anyone know what his contract status is? If it expires after this year no way Astana can keep him, both financially and as a 3rd leader within the same team.

Karma is a ***.

This.

Contador is awesome on the descents. Sky need to hire him to carry the alien downhill in a little basket.

When you play the game of thrones, you either win or die there is no middle ground.

Aru to sit with half the starks and some baratheons for a cup of wine after the stage

Re: Stage 16: Pinzolo – Aprica 177 kms:Where legends are mad

It would be beyond hilarious to see Trofimov flash by Contador and Landa near the end, only for Landa to then overtake him.

Again.

It's actually quite funny how Kruijswijk is riding. He is really looking like Contadors dom.

Landa probably the favourite in a sprint, he seems the most explosive. But maybe Contador can win? If he really wants the stage win, he can probably pull something extra out of his legs, I think.

The amazing irony is that Contador probably got saved by how difficult today's stage was. If he had 50' before a couple of easy climbs, or even a long descent down he'd have lost minutes. But because by the time he was down to Boaro (who got back magically) they started to climb the weakness of Tinkoff didn't hurt him nearly as much as it could have.

Crushweak deserves that stage. The diminutive Spaniards have used him as a windshield for so many kms now.

Yeah, he does, but as we know, you don't often get what you deserve.
