Landa just rode a great race. Remember he had to wait for Aru for a long time on Mortirolo. I would have love to see Contador and Landa mano o mano on the Mortirolo.

Penultimate climb on stage 19... all hell will break loose

I hope people won't start saying that astana should have bet on landa from the start. He still lost more than 4 min on contador in the ITT.

I don't know how he could make that up anywhere.

remember contador got mechanical and start 1minutes behind on mortirolo? How can we see mano a mano w/ landa? If he lost it that's common sense, he has spent his energy to chase them. at this point, favors Landa. He is the most likely will win it.

thanks for taking that flipper off Landa's saddle

BTW- did you guys watch the bit when the Astana car passed right by Aru, literally ignored him & kept going ? LOL
BS, he got plenty of support before that, they had to go past him because Landa had no support from the team car after Alberto's attack, he could have bonked otherwise.

It was the 2nd car that had caught up.

I think he meant if they started on equal terms, say in the same position. Otherwise, I agree, it wouldn't be a fair battle

They waited for Atana's second car to join Aru, so that they could use the first car to follow Landa. Must not have felt nice to Aru, though.

Contador pulling. This means that he's going to forget all the work Crushweak has already done. He will go for the stage.

I think Contador and Landa are on par in the mountains atm. That's why i think it would have been a great battle between them.

AC wants this stage bad, but I think presence of Kruis complicates it for him. For 1) He may not have the legs to take on Landa anyways, 2) If it was only him and Kruis, I am fairly certain AC would ease up to let him win, 3) Would Landa do the same, and let Kruis go? I somehow doubt it.
