just joining in, someone a quick update about what happened?

From what I've gathered, confusion on the descent of Stelvio to whether it was neurtalized or not. Quintana got 2 minutes on peloton. Now him, Hesjedal and Rolland at 1:48 ahead of peloton. Are the front group on the road.

Gap seems to be going out. Quintana maintains this and he's gonna greatly move up in GC.

quintana attacked in the descend with rolland and hesjedal and 1 helper (and rolland had 1 helper)
They had 2 minutes on the group uran, at one point it was 1'35. But now it's growing to 2 minutes again on the climb

Chalapud goes off on a solo venture, Arredondo attacks for mountain points and Pantano goes too. A handful of strung out riders go over Gavia in the lead and it all goes a bit mental on the descent with attacks, people taking tea breaks, and riders strung out everywhere (poor conditions leading to no time gaps makes it even harder for anyone to understand).

In the end a lead group of 10 or so with Kiserlovski as the best placed GC rider settle in about 3 minutes up the road and all the other contenders settle back into one bigger group. Stelvio is controlled by Movistar and Tinkoff Saxo for the most part, though Rolland tries a brief pace injection. Cataldo attacks near the top as the break is faltering and getting reeled in and things string out again going onto the descent. There's lots of confusion around this point about race neutralisation, official word is that it was never neutralised but some teams are complaining.

On the descent Movistar attacked with Izaguirre and Quintana and they grouped with Rolland + Hejsedal + others on the way down. Got themselves a good gap over the other GC contenders, now they drag raced across the flat and attacked up the climb, caught Cataldo and currently we have Quintana towing Rolland and Hejsedal up the climb with the Maglia Rosa group chasing 2 minutes behind.
