Interesting!!!

We need to club together to give TVE €20 so they can actually broadcast these stages from the start like the Giro and Tour have started doing.

I knew this stage would start crazy, but not that much. It really is a shame that we don't have pictures. Okay, I'm at work right now, but still. :D

Every intresting scenario this Vuelta has started earlier then when the broadcasting started. Every single one.

Yep, I have a horrible feeling by the time we get pictures everything will have slowed and nothing will happen until the last 1km

And not just THIS Vuelta. They somehow always manage to not record the most interesting events.

Like Fuente Dé. Broadcasters are stupid and unflexible. I mean it's their big home race and they aren't doing anything to help the Vuelta gaining some prestige.

It is not because lavuelta.es names only Froome, Contador and Valverde, that there really is a group of these three riders. Ofcourse they didn't go on the attack with three... CN ticker should know this.

Purito back on now, but I wonder what happened to him.
Well he almost got Fuente De'd again.... i wonder if it's the legs or just bad tactical judgement

I realise that but it sounds like there significant splits which caught out Purito briefly. Would have been good to see.

Slightly better with the Steppers involved.

But it will be de Marchi FTW.

Sicard has been riding well the last few days, if this break makes it he might enter top ten without anyone really noticing, thus finally showing that he's capable of stuff at pro level. I also wouldn't count him out for the stage win, although Poels and De Marchi are strong competition.

Agreed. He's riding really well this year but mostly as a domestique or early attacker so he doesn't have many results to show for. I hope he hangs on to a top20; it should be a nice launching pad for the next season.

Yeah, I remember him and Ion Izaguirre burning himself out for Rolland (and Quintana) on the flat of that contested Giro stage, he was of great help there. He also seems to be a crazy descender, he even dropped Valverde in the first week but then he dropped himself of the road :D
