PCS just updated to show Vacek in the break!

Pedersen will ride for him later on and he'll win.

Not on a flat finish.

But when it starts to break up close to the end, he may let Vacek go, because in a reduced sprint Pedersen doesn't really need a lead out, and it forces the other fast guys to work.

As someone pointed out in here yesterday, with Ulissi in the break, Astana should let him take the KOM points, because they could conceivably end up top 3 in that competition.

Nobody is catching Fortunato and Scaroni anyway.

Oh dear I switched out for a couple of minutes then TV showed points classification points and I mistakenly thought it was the breakaway. That would've been THE break for ages :joycat:

Ayuso is very talented but there seems to be an element of chasing or desperation about him ...cant really express what I mean..but a sense of unease

Needs a new team with backing and a considered approach to stepping up...maybe a Vuelta first

I am surprised that we don't see this tactic of sprinters going into the break in the third week of a GT. As long as you have 2 or 3 teammates then its easier then controlling a stage all day.
