If Pedersen finishes at least 13° today, the points jersey will be his...

Unless Olav 'Pogacar' Kooij wins not only the last stage and all the 8 intermediate sprints left, but also at least one between Friday's and Saturday's stages.
I wouldn't put money on the latter happening but, perhaps, that's just me.
:p

Ayuso is very talented but there seems to be an element of chasing or desperation about him ...cant really express what I mean..but a sense of unease

Needs a new team with backing and a considered approach to stepping up...maybe a Vuelta first
I think it's just the weight of getting a Vuelta podium at 19 or whatever it was, and being the backup QB behind Pogacar doesn't help.

What's the excuse of the other 3000 riders?

I did see a one leg guy on a venge last Saturday. It was amazing how stable he kept it when starting from a stop. Personally I think I'd opt for a hand cycle if I were in his shoe.
Hm, maybe he was just used to cycling with both legs before the leg got amputated and wasn't willing to give it up for a hand cycle, who knows.

One of the riders had only one leg, which is very impressive in cycling. In such a case an E-bike is very understandable methinks.

We have a local rider who opted to have a leg amputated just above the knee after several failed surgeries. He's riding again, and while he says he can't produce enough power to race again, he's still plenty strong in the fast groups.

Watching that brief replay, it didn't even look like there was an attack to create the lead group--Van Baarle went through a chicane section faster than the rest, creating a gap, then the 5-6 others at the front gradually rode up to his wheel during a lag in the action of the main group. And voila' we get the winning group. Seemed quite random
