what a ride by Aru.....

if anyone thought that Quintana could have had a clean win, then they are totally wrong.

pretty sure that the italian media wiuld have thought that aru had a chance to win Giro if movistar hadn't "cheated".

It makes a big difference to see Quintana without glasses. If his eyes weren't visible he would've looked as unfazed as he always does.

Quintana, not even close in the end.

More than 3 minutes now in front in the GC. What about stage 16 again?

+1000000+ :D

I bet some will be there still debating it

Gesink was also better at a similar age. Doesn't mean s**t if you don't follow it up later in your career.

Gesink was also nowhere near as good as Aru is now. So bad comparison

Aru is already closer to winning a GT than Gesink ever has been and its his second ever GT

Gesink was challenging Valverde for the Vuelta win at age 22 until he crashed and had to finish the Vuelta with a big hole in his knee.
Gesink was a HUGE talent, but he only got worse some how.

Did Quintana gain all that time in just the last k?

He was 7 seconds ahead with 900m to go.

I think Aru might've been a bit faster on the climb as a whole, I think Quintana was quicker in the first sector.

Aru can take out Uran on Zoncolan, but it requires huge risk taking.

Hopefully we will see aggressive racing.

Anyway, a very exciting TT.

Well, withoug Stelviogate we'd have a 3way fight for pink on the 20th stage on arguably the toughest climb in GT cycling. So yeah, i'm really happy that's not happening:rolleyes:

Aru amazing  He really peaked like an angel. Maybe this was the strategy for Nibali too, to peak like Lance :D
Quintana gaining all the 17" in the final km. Maybe he didn't go 100% today

yes.

The only thing that can stop him winning the pink jersey is unforseen **** tomorrow.

Nairo probably prefers to go 90% today, go maybe 1 minute slower, and have as much energy possible to cover any possible circumstance tomorrow.

Well, well.... ;)
