despite the stagewins it's really been a giro of terrors for androni... they were so muc hbetter in prep races. But then serpa got injured, rujano sick, sella seems crap. Rubiano fallen...

True and it's a shame.
Despite all of this they still got 2 stage wins though!

Breakaway bright sunlight, dry roads.
Peloton rain and wet roads.

Edit: Ahh, they've just flashed up a "recorded images" graphic.

Just heard an interview with Rolf Sørensen, one of his best friends Max Schandri who is in the giro had spoken with some riders who told Basso had said he untill now only had run for half power and today would be the day...
Guess we will see!

Looks like Liquky gonna make a hard race today, a day of PAIN and survival.

Watching live now. Katusha are chasing, think they might try and crack Hejsdal on the Manghen?

Kuschynski and Kristoff are doing most of the work so far, they are just keeping a regular, slow pace

Yep, smart move to go on an adventure with a bunch of climbers... especially on a stage like this, but hopefully he ride in his own pace

where? Sorry but I dont read all topics from start to end in a live thread mate.

well it's pretty much 1=1 =2 when rujano fails in the mountains that something is wrong with him. he has throat infection and was wearing 3 coats 2 days ago in the climbs. ochoa has bronchitis and even had to get oxygen after the stage

i think the rujano illness was overplayed, he just didnt have the level of form either, and minute something else went wrong he blamed that,

this will be though stage, the riders wont want get the cramps they got last time, althou to be fair it looks warm but not overly so.
