Last year the race was over after the first mountain stage with 2nd-5th doing exactly what's happening now and that was superior??? I'm so confused.
2nd-5th are 4 riders, not 30.

Ok. I go with the guy who said 2 km. ;) Hope we can come back to this later...
Maybe I did say it, I don't know, but if I did I think I was either kidding or being particularly bitter.

Almost as bitter as I feel right now.

Oh hey 5 km to go now.

Stet first. already at the back, so VDV must have taken over now.

Looks like VDV dropped out without doing any pulling, SOS with him, he's there but is useless for his leader.

Well, I want the 80's back too, you know. I was a child full of hopes, the grass was greener, sky was bluer, the sun was brighter, the life was better, and so was the racing.

Got your sarcasm. But still it could be easily made better. Bring back Zomengan, and stop all that computerized racing. It´s easy to do...

The problem is that, while you can do things like ban race radios, you can't really ban professionalism and organisation. The wild days of the 1970s aren't coming back.

Maybe they could bring the wild days back by, on high mountain stages, not telling anyone what the route was in advance, or how far from the finish they were during the race. ;)

Only difference is that riders had balls and the routes were good.

Lol. If they included the stage where Merckx smoked everybody with 8 min+ in 1969 the forum would go nuts with comments about failing and misusing the terrain.

8 winless Pro-Tour/All three Italian Pro-Conti w/stages

So far, only four teams have won more than once. Katusha twice, Jo-Rod!!; Sky three times, Manx'Man!!!
All three Italian Pro-Conti have won stages: Androni twice, as well as FV/SI. Besides, Colnago has one stage. Only NetApp plus 8 Big*Leaguers remain w/o wins.

I finally figured out what they were doing with VDV. He had no racing real Ks coming into the Giro, and they have been saving him for the last few days. It makes sense considering that he shouldn't have been getting dropped as early as he was since he is focusing on the GC for the Tour.

Well, Zomengan or not, you could bring more teams, while making them smaller. That would help. Would be an absolute logistical nightmare though, so not gonna happen
