Great news that @DarioCataldo is back on his bike and trying to finish the stage. He'll be monitored by the team and we'll update later

Great new indeed!

The only semi-decent stage designed for attackers won by an attacker. Well done Adam.

When they were soft-pedaling up the last climb, I thought the stage would be a washout. I'm glad that I kept watching and that I was wrong!

Great win and good stage finish.

Giant though... But ok, the points win is within reach

The points win is theirs.

39 ahead of Valverde. Valverde needs to come top 3 in the time trial and win tomorrow's stage to steal it from Degenkolb.

49 ahead of Contador. Contador needs to win the next 2 stages to steal it from Degenkolb.

53 ahead of Froome. Froome needs to win the next 2 stages, and pick up a bonus sprint tomorrow.

All 3 need to realistically pick up 4 or 8 points tomorrow at the sprint points and even then Degenkolb won't be worried. Degenkolb will pick them up at the first one to seal the jersey if it isn't sealed already.

Good riding from Degenkolb and Giant. Massive feat for him.

Nah, Degenkolb has the best chances of winning it. He might win the first intermediate sprint tomorrow while the gc contenders will sprint for the second.
I'd say it's even doable for Dege to finish in the Top 15 in the final short time trial.

So yes, Alberto might win the last two stages and Piti might finish two times second but that doesn't have to be enough.
