I think Nibs has got this! This is the best stage we've had all Tour. :)

Biased much
This has been the best stage of the tour whoever you support.

lol what???

This stage isn't even in the same stratopshere as PSM. With the exception of a meh attack by quintana last 4 minutes, everything is exactly as it was 2 hours ago.

I wouldn't say 'not in the same stratosphere', but I agree, PSM was better (and I'm not going to say 'whoever you support' as I'm a Froome fan, and I know that other people think differently)

For anyone who cares about KOTM, I think Bardet leads Froome by 3 points.

Bardet needs to cross Croix de Fer first tomorrow and hope Froome doesn't win on Alpe d'Huez

Points at the finish are 50, 40, 32, 28, 24, 20, 16, 12, 8, 4.

So even if Bardet gets 25 over the Croix de Fer, he will need to get some at the finish. Say Froome gets 2nd and Bardet 8th, that would, I believe leave them equal on points.

Brave ride by Nibali but tomorrow he is likely to pay for his efforts today and Valverde will keep 3rd.

Shocking video of a guy spitting Froome in the face.

The sport has troubles.

Link if/when available? That is just disgusting, some of these fans just don't learn.

Froome would win the jersey based on his win on La Pierre then.

Some Sky doms in the grupetto should spit back at the guy who spat at Froome, if he can be identified. Terrible behavior.

I'm happy Froome proved to be beatable on a climb like this, but it's too little too late unfortunately. I hope Nairito goes full *** tomorrow, just so we can all hope.

OMG wuyts says every day there's boni's LMAO

I thought there were except for the ITT and TTT?

no boni's were there until stage 8
No, there was conflicting information but there are definitely bonifications on every stage besides the ITT and TTT.

What the hell, i just checked the site again and now it says so indeed while more than a week ago it said only until stage 8

Hopefully, Contador will go on Croix de Fer tomorrow and pull Nibali with himself.
Valverde's reaction afterwards should isolate Froome, and we might get the epics we've been denied of today.

Contador will go for it, definitely, but I doubt earlier than Huez.

Rare footage of Froome furious

What happened?

Someone spat in his face apparently.

Not that most people know because Eurosport, the Home of Cycling, and no, I'm sorry, it still sounds like homocycling to me whenever they say it, decided to show about three seconds of post-race so they can be in time to show the to build-up to a European under-19 women's football match(LOL?)

Nibali - and Valverde coincidentally - certainly paid for his effort when he attacked from the long range in the Dauphine. He was terrible the following day.
I think he will pay, but Dauphine and Tour are two different things. Just remember what he did in Pra Loup at Dauphine

Re: Stage 19: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienn - La Toussuire-Les Sybe

I don't these riders and their tactics. They seem so idiotic. It's unbelievable. When they were climbing the final ascent, why was Contador and Majka setting a tempo for movistar?!?! Why not let them do all the work and get worn out. When nairo attacked and AC and AV came back to the group why Was gesink setting the tempo for vakverde. Idiots.
