Way too large group considering the stage so far.

I was just thinking the same thing. Once again, they've failed to effectively gut Sky or fatigue Froome with a tough pace when it mattered.

Froome has won the tour. Quintana hasn't even attacked yet. Wonder how he thought he was going to take over 3 minutes?

Quintana has gone from one of my favourite riders to one of my least favourite riders during the course of this TDF...

My stance on attacking has always been to quote Sastre 'It's a race not a tea party'. But Nibs is one of my favs and this just isn't sitting well. I should be happy he is winning this stage. But I'm not, I had higher expectations of him. Granted Astana has always attacked on others problems. Vino must have warped Nibs sense of honor.......
Yes that 15 sec mechanical made all the difference  .

Surely if Nairo was feeling alright he would have attacked. He might lose time to Froome the way this is going :/

Re: Stage 19: Saint-Jean-de-Maurienn - La Toussuire-Les Sybe

Perfect ending would be Quintana and Froome catching Nibali with 50m to go
