I don't think a TT would solve the problem. You still need space for podium and stuff like that.

I thought that Hesjedal would have cracked on Pampeago, Stelvio should suit him more than Purito imo, provided he can get over Mortirolo with the heads of state

This pretty much sums it up. The stage was designed to create complete chaos on the Mortirolo, and i think it will still be up to the last 10 km of the Stelvio

I still believe is going to be either Rodriguez or Basso the winner of this year's Giro, they have the teams and experience to finish it off.

Yeah I'm not saying it can't happen, but clearly he looked the strongest out of all the contenders today. It didn't look like he got second on the stage by just going deeper than the others: Scarponi and Basso both looked pretty ****ed.

Yes, it is too far. Tonale, Aprica and Teglio are useless climbs. They should have done Mortirolo, Gavia, Stelvio.

Too far in the sense that it's doubtful that somebody would be brave enough to press on with an attack unlike with the usual finish in Aprica which is only something like 35 km from the summit of Mortirolo

Yes, it is too far. Tonale, Aprica and Teglio are useless climbs. They should have done Mortirolo, Gavia, Stelvio.

There's no difference. Gavia would have turned out to be a useless climb. Anyways a bunch of 20-30 riders could of hit the point 5k be before the top of Stelvio. Today Katusha has given a brilliant lesson how to lull the race even on constant 10% Manghen sectors. Tomorrow they alongside with Garmin will continue this deed.

If tomorrows stage doesn't explode on the mortirolo i will be dissapointed.
Yes i can see that it might be to far for some, but it has to be done if Basso, Scarponi, Pozzovivo wants to do something about Hesjedal
