So how long is it now? Is the weather really that bad??

It's not bad atm. Cloudy and very sultry, but still dry.
Chances of showers later on.

Why don't they simply do 2 laps on this course. Then it would be a worty TT ratio for a GT.

Or rather, place another long ITT at the end of the first week as it has traditionally been done.

But no... now we're facing the bizarre possibility of seeing a puncheur whose most significant moves are a couple of attacks under the last kilometre banner winning the Giro d'Italia.

The organizers got it all wrong. Throughout the years they saw riders attacking closer and closer to the finish line and therefore getting smaller gaps, and thought "We can't have long ITTs or early mountain stages, or the gaps will be too big, everything will be decided too soon and the last stages will be a let-down!", instead of giving the riders more opportunities and incentives to create gaps. They got a close race alright, I suppose.

They don't want big gaps soon. I sort of can get why, usually with Armstrong we knew the GC pretty much after the second mountain stage. But this concentration of the Giro in the last three days is a bit of a slap in the face of spectators.

Can't believe the race organisers are so disorganised.
Don't wanna sound like a July fan. But they will never let stuff like that happen in the tour.

So was it phinneys fault of the race organisers??
**** this anyway, was looking forward to see him do well.

Interviewed by RAI. He looks worn out. Lost 11 seconds to Rasmussen in the final section and Sergent was much faster again.

Now, that's much nice than someone coming along with: "LOL Epic by Faylor Phinney. Can't keep his bike on the course. What a joke."
Just like somebody wrote about Cav, yesterday, after he'd battled through the mountains, only to lose the red jersey by a single point.;)

Play nice, get treated fairly.

Sciandri kept telling him to turn right on the radio from 100mt afar.
He chose to follow the motorbike instead.

If Ian Stannard is only at 31 seconds, we're still waiting for a properly good time.

He's obviously recovered much better than all the specialists, but surely someone will go much quicker.

Can we please stop the spoilers of other sport events (as per the rules on this forum), thanks :)

It's not even raining anyway, no idea why he keeps saying that.

And you're missing nothing - dullest grand prix of the year guarenteed every time.
