Hesjedal has joined the pantheon of the cycling greats. The Sporza guys mentioned this is only his 4th career win? Legend.

Also a great result for Vacansoleil, puts Rabobank and their careful season planning and robotic racing to shame.

I think this is the underreported portion of this story. Great result for them.

oh, man, i can't figure out why these riders just don't attack like rasmussen and contador at the 2007 tour. now that's how you race a bike. these giro riders are such losers...

I thought hitch is more loyal to the samu gang.
I think the contador gang is pretty huge.

Hitch is part of two gangs. The Samu gang isn't as huge as the Alberto gang though.

I'm also part of the squalo gang. Actually I'm part of most Spanish/Italian gangs.

nice sarcasm there, but more doping talk and you will get a warning.

and that goes for everyone, last warning if you want to discuss doping go to the clinic.

When it comes to Samu, Hitch has support from a few. But even if he didn't, when it comes to Samu Hitch is very capable of being a one man gang.

Yeah you're right. It probably has something to do with the riders people are a fan of. Andy fans... well there isn't much excitement for them outside of July.

Yeah very true. Evans and contador fans get excitement all year round.
Poor andy fans have to wait every year for that one race.

well, rabobank just won california because of their trust in robert gesink. if they now bring up one of their 3 big guns already in good shape at suisee to win it (kruiswijk!?) their palmares will also be pretty fine.

but it's very nice for vacansoleil to finally have a gt podium as well as a gc contender with de gendt after the fail with cobra and mosquito last year.

None of them can win Suisse, maybe Gesink himself but it remains to be seen what winning the Tour of California translates to in a strong field of contenders.

Do you primarily support Colombians? If yes, you're in the Colombian gang which is led by Ryo.
