I think JVs race today was even more strategic. Pog got out of the saddle when he attacked and stayed out of the saddle. I think JV started to feel a little cooked and then he slowed quickly, and I think he faked having a problem by looking back, thinking Pog would notice. And within a few seconds, Pog sat down and JV immediately got out of the saddle and caught Pog within 8 seconds. I think JV planned for this, and it worked brilliantly. Pog definitely seemed rattled to me in the interview at the end.

Today reminded me a little of stage 11 in last years Tour. Pog seemed surprised in the post stage interviews then (Vingegaard out sprinted Pog for the stage win). Today was great by Vingegaard but I'm not reading much into it yet.

Did I watch the same climb or am I daydreaming?
Cause he clearly dropped Vingo.
The climb was just a little too short and Pogi decided to go for the sprint.

I watched it again. Yes, Pogi dropped Vingo but paid for it. He looked on the limit and slowed down at the very end of the climb.

Not sure what this means for week 3 but so far very promising for Jonas.
Probably means nothing, just like San Luca last year, but we’ll see.
For the long time I thought that this year will be closest Pogi vs Vini battle and who knows, maybe it’ll be?
