Simmons has looked pretty solid so far this Tour.

Thankfully, does seem to have got over the physical and psychological issue that have plagued his last two seasons.

He does have an obvious 'tell' though. In fighting mode, the helmullet gets tidied away.

He's 7.37 down, if the peloton completely phones this in then he can take yellow in one of the coming stages.

Would be surprising. When is vdP loosing it before Hautacam where Pogi does not dust Healy? And his advantage to Pogi would be tiny tiny.

Such an easy guy to root for.

Solo artist with a load of grinta who looks awful on a bike but is one of the most fun riders in the peleton.

Has a very "old school" feel to how he rides in the "power meter era" aha.

I love watching him ..wiggling, wobbling all over, smashed down to be uncomfortably aero!! He is all over the road, holds a line about as good as Isaac Del Toro who also rides boxing style , bobbing and weaving all over the place!!

Healy does extra kilometers from all the side to side stuff..
MVP group doesn't look super motivated.. Simmons and company look motivated but Ben holding good gap!!!

You can't underestimate how difficult it is to solo away from riders of the calibre of those in the break the way Healy has done today especially in the first week of the Tour. That was an unbelievable performance to win in that manner.
