yeah, which is exactly why you ride up front

Give 'em a break. The crash was only 6 k into the stage. They barely had time to get organised! Lance got caught up as well but he went out onto the grass and stayed upright.

He's bluffing. Just as Kloden yesterday, he'll lose time deliberately to come from behind at some later stage.

As i just tuned in, can someone tell me which riders (except Cadel) were in the pile-out early on? Thanks!

Jurgen Van Den Broeck was one of the only riders to admit that he did not find yesterday's stage, hard. See how he goes today. Evan's was lucky that he took the impact more on the side. Thankfully his battered collarbone was not effected.

Osteopath reports bruised wrist & shoulder

BMC twitter page has reported he only has a few cuts and that was 9 minutes ago. Evans said it was hot but did not find it too hard. I think everyone found it quite hot.

Phil Liggit and Paul Sherwin really do give some great info.

Apparently cobblestones are hard! I never would have realised.

in RAI they have said that Savoldelli (retired anyway) had a fall earlier today and broke sthing. He was transfered with helicopter to the hospital...They weren't heard as if it was very serious anyway
