Vino is back, went for a stroll.... some other big names that went out the back don't have the excuse to have gone for a detour for the team (wether he did it on purpose or not).

Hey, Menchov is in the Tour after all.

...because he just got dropped on the first Cat 1 climb? Maybe?

In fairness he did crash. That being said even under the best of circumstances I doubt anyone expect Armstrong to be able to put that much time into his competitors at any point, even before this. He doesn't need to lose that much time to be out of the race even if he's much stronger after the rest day.

Sad to see the GC decided by crashes yet again.

Looks like we'll never going to see the match up between AC and Armstrong that we wanted.

Thank you for a fabulous first post. We need a little more levity on this thread.

Okay, if Wigans hangs until the end today, I will officially never refer to him as "Wigans" again, and will revert to spelling his name properly.

Good to see some big names hanging. Basso still in the front?

Pharmstrong only 45 seconds back, folks. He can catch back on the descent, I'm telling you.

The gap at the summit is one minute.

Also, his crash was very minor and in no way excuses his poor performance today. He is old, he is fat, he does not have the legs. He would have been dropped crash or no crash.

A bit of "rope a dope" for Lance?

akzaaf, he seriously looks good.

He said yesterday he doesn't like being in the back of the group, so he's always at the front even f it costs more energy.
But hey, you're right. He is looking good.
Still a mystery to me what he can do in the final GC tbh.

Maybe LA went to the back for some bottles to fetch them for...... oh never mind, there isn't anyone else up there.
