Seriously? You continue to prove to be king of the douchebags on these boards. Almost 6000 posts? Get a life, tool.

Your fingers clearly get more exercise than your legs. In more ways than one.

OH MY GOD SHUT UP.

Listen. I am no fan of TFF, but at least he talks about the ****ing race from time to time. We get it, you like lance, you don't like the hatefest that was going down in here when he was suffering. You have made your point. Now either talk about the actual goddamn race at hand or get out.

I'm sad that the crash for Lance happened right before the climb. Nobody did anything wrong, but I would rather have seen Lance beat without an excuse.

I'm curious where Horner is right now... when he rode off from the Lance group it was maybe 1:30-2:00 back. I don't think he can catch the leaders... but I'm curious to see if he lowered the gap on this stage.

Shame for him if he was strong enough to hold on to the main group but gets screwed by shepharding Lance.

I 100% agree. I don't think the crash today had a physical role in his epic failure. But he will use that as an excuse. I wanted to see him whipped without an excuse fair and square.

TFF, if you ignore him he will go away.

I think we are seeing that this climb is not going to be decisive. None of the big guns has been unable to follow the pace.

Who do we think gets the stage, then? Contador with a late burst? Cuddles in the sprint? Maybe Liquigas starts firing guys up the road?

Can everybody stop moaning and arguing about LA now? It's over.

Sorry, for the last couple of years we've had one of the most exciting riders for years taking to the helm cycling, and some of the most exciting (and cleaner) young talent coming through too.

If Lance had come back and shown some grace and admiration for the totality of what he was part of, rather than (again) treat it as if it is all about him, I wouldn't be revelling in this so much.

ALL I have had to endure for the last 2 years (after assuming he had finally gone and let the sport regain some balance) is Lance this, Lance that, Planet Me, taking the light away from all the really nice bits that cycling has to offer. Mr Condescending rather than Ascending or Descending with grace..

So for years he's had it all on his terms. Well, I'm marking the "it's over" as I want to, and on my terms. Sorry if that offends you, but this seems to be the only appropriate time to really do it in style.

I'm loving the stage up front. Man. "normally" I would be all over it, as this Tour is now indeed becoming the Tour I hoped it would be. Great to watch one we have shed the Lance show.

But there is only one thing I will remember this stage for. The end of an era. Not sure why I or anyone should shut up about it. It's a momentous occasion for one thing. And it isn't the stage win.

Basso looking good. I thought he might show me to be right about him being able to challenge for the podium.

Actually, it is sad to see Armstrong look that way. I truly did want to seem him ride a good race. I wanted to see him lose, but I wanted him to at least vie for a win. Oh well, there are several others who look to be making this a good race in his absence.
