What the hell is going on? Does anyone know why they have decided not to ride? I can't find a single argument let alone a reason.

Majka was complaining about the cold yesterday, it was too crazy to ride he said.

Surely it's even colder to ride like this? Now, I don't know the temperature, but it doesn't even look that cold to me today.

The downhill from Mont Cenis would be very cold at full speed. But that's about it.

I'm trying hard to convince myself of a reason to watch this, and I'm failing as well.

For an equivalent stage last year the time cut was finishing time + between 8 and 10 % depending how fast they went

This year it's between 16 and 18% so effectively twice as lenient

There were plenty of stages like this in the past. You just couldn't watch them because tv coverage had yet to start.

Not saying I like it, but some perspective could help.

This is an Insult to Pantani.

In a stage dedicated to the most exciting an attacking rider of the past 20 years, they decide to bore the hell out of the spectators.

Unless the whole stage is neutralised it is pretty stupid thinking by the peloton. People are going to really suffer more so on the telegraphe because they will be exposed to the cold on Mont Cenis for much longer. There is only so slow you can go on the descent they will regret it ultimately.

Those motobikes should be carrying gelato, would be more appropriate for the occasion, as the riders can hardly be sweating much.
