While I agree Nibali may soon have it in the bag, GC isn't everything.Like I really want Betancur to grab a stage win!

This is what I'm still hoping for as well. :) The only reason I'm still watching.

Pink was decided in the TT. There could be some very good stages coming up but in terms of GC this could be one of the worst GTs for a long time.

2011 was more boring GC-wise. At least Nibali could still lose it with a single weak day (although unlikely).

You are forgetting the Grand Tour in July.;)

Meanwhile, ES commentators said that it's reported the weather conditions could worsen after 5 Pm Local time The riders could very well regret their neutralization.

The GC battle there went all the way to February 2012 :p

@Orica_GreenEDGE

"Assistant DS Julian Dean reports that no horns are allowed in the race caravan today for fear of causing an avalanche. #Giro"

that's a standard law for high mountain passes in May and June, it's not like today is particularly dangerous.

This is soooo lame. Thanks for ****ing up what could have been an epic stage.

how different could it be?
Seriously.
Pirazzi, chalapud and some others would have escaped 20 kms earlier and astana would have kept the gap in check for the whole climb.

the only difference for you would have probably been Jens posting 40km/h avg instead of 30km/h avg and stuff like that.

Having a good rhytm on the Mont Cenis would have made more domestiques tired and thus favoured a less controllable race on Galibier.

Just came in and read all the bloody whining and complaining just like yesterday. People so impatient and want instant gratification :)

Guess when you reach my age one learns more patience :)

Could have been very different. No BMC, Sky, AGR, or for that matter Saxo riders in the break, for tactical purpose, no chasing, my grandma could keep up with this pace. Bore fest.

Sky train can do a lot of damage in a short time though.

exactly, and there would be a group of 80 riders at +10min. Don't really see why there's so much fuzz about this
