As frustrating as it may be, people eat all of the Pog versus Vinge stuff up and it drives forum engagement here and viewer engagement in the broader sense of pro cycling. Get ready for thousands of discussions on the topic and an endless stream of articles detailing every miniscule detail about who said what & who did what over the next 8 weeks.

People like winners and attach themselves to them. So the industry knows how to push the right buttons and "sell" the Tour as a piece of entertainment.

That's all correct, but when will we get the Vingo-Pogi boxing match?
And who's going to be the undercard?
Or am I just lying to myself and they will be the undercard? Maybe of Fury vs. Joshua when it eventually happens?
Also: will they wear cycling helmets? Is Maxtin Pogi's cutman? Will Niermann get rid of all the tovels so noone can throw one?
I have so many questions!

If you attack me when I have a "mechanical", I'll chase you down and shoulder you off the road (Froome vs Aru). Now Froome was no good at the smack talk in his glory days, he's playing a blinder at it now, but he just can't back it up on the road, yet.
Vingo is head and shoulders above everyone with the smack talk right now. He's coming for you, Pog.
Pog is going to lose his belt to Vingo.
The undercard is Remco vs Roglic and it's going to be hysterical.

I've been experimenting with a new keyboard with narrower, oval buttons in combination with a different, tinier font. Now I can't believe or even see the numbers I'm typing.
I'm not a fan of the uber dominance of @Samu Cuenca on the forum. It might have the girls gushing and fawning over him, but I'm not falling for it. He obviously has cycling news in his back pocket and has carte blanche to use any word processing and ai tools that he wants. A travesty of two shams of a sham.

The Marvelization of pro-cycling is in full swing. People choose their favorite superhero and the hype does the rest.

The more ridiculous things become, the more people love it. To answer the question: No.

The performances are going to be silly.
This is new reality, through technology the number of race days for top form is down. I think fans want to see the best racers going head to head.
You are seeing riders as young as Mario Cipollini complaining about mythical status and guys are not doing all the hardest races. I like most currents including Jonas, MvP, Pog and Remco but I have settled for science reality that they are not going to race much. Old guys are not impressed with lack of racing!!
Old school fans want to see burn out style schedules but new generation riders pick and choose based on data set and bio feedback from gaggle of nutritionists and physicians..
Now there is more talk about 2 grand tours being excessive in a season! What is the opposite of burnout?
