UCI is the problem. 100% the problem

The UCI does not do anything proactive to keep doping at bay. Their own rules allow for retroactive testing (should they need to throw someone under a bus at some point), but they have created no such program for doing so. Nor will they until WADA complains to the IOC (and the IOC turns the thumbscrews)

Every step forward with doping is made by first overcoming the intransigence of the UCI.

Considering I'm sitting in the hospital waiting on the birth of our next child I have nothing better to do for the time being other than sit here and trade back and forth. I would be happy as hell to just see LA and the rest of the dopers race off a cliff to never appear again but that won't happen. I'd love to see a clean sport but I doubt we ever will again. I'll still watch the race results but not the races I used to.

good luck to you and your partner :)

it would be the end of any remaining credibility the UCI has if that were to get out. There would have to be quite a few degrees of separation between those two for that to happen.

We already know from AC's first press conference that McQuaid was speaking directly to him, well before this scandal erupted. They have a cozy relationship already. Alberto himself said that McQuaid was the guy who first suggested that it must have been something he ate.

Nothing like having the Fox in the Hen House directing the show. AC has turned into another LA in my eyes. But then again when he stood on the podium that first time looking up at LA with love in his eyes I saw the next generation of doper ready to take his place. All this has been is vindication.
