It doesn't matter if they were actually on your wheel while you bridged, you gave them a carrot to follow, and no reason to hold back or look at each other.

Indeed. Not just giving them an incentive, or a carrot, but staying in their wheel basically does the opposite. Not just because they would need to work more, but knowing they would bring a fresh guy (rival) to the front, while they tire themselves if they tried to bridge is usually enough of a reason not to bother. The moment however you make the jump, you are making as much if not more of an effort to bridge than them. There is no reason for them not to try and follow.

Amazing how so many people do not understand how that works.

@Extinction

In regards to Valter. Next time when deciding to be a bit selfish. Due to circumstances being just right. Just make sure you win the stage. That would be my advice. As for inner team dynamics. Nothing happened that couldn't be sorted out by having a beer. We should thank them really. As they gave us something to chew on.

Indeed, even Valter himself.

So Kristen Faulkner was disqualified. I know why She was disqualified but can someone explain to me why is the glucose monitor illegal?

More or less, it's because the UCI says so. You're allowed to measure some things (power) and not others. Most will use the glucose monitors in training to see how to feed properly etc. It would only be useful in a race if you had live data, or the team car, otherwise it would just be useful for after-race analysis.
