DAM RIGHT BRO i AM SO PUMPED FOR TOMORROWtold you double whammy with narvaet.fist jon attacks, than pog finishes off.imo thye were saving narvaez in pn.
Somebody make a case to me for anyone staying with pog after a sub 9 minute cipressa. Best case scenario is 30 seconds behind and claw 10 seconds back on the descent. Then it’s all nose in the wind after that
We gotta chill on Narvaez. We haven't even seen him and Pog in the same race. I don't see how this immediately implies that he won't work for Pog.View: https://www.instagram.com/p/DHdy6xuso2W/?img_index=5&igsh=MWZidjNsYzlyaWdoYg==

He only can gain 30 seconds if group 2 riders don't cooperate. If a "full" peloton climbs Cipressa for 9:26, then the best riders should be able to do it for ~9:10.
If Pogacar wants to gain 30 seconds on Cipressa he has to hope on all the main guys being much worse than last year or himself doing Cipressa below 8:50. 8:40 preferably.
No one will work with him anyhow. So he might as well be alone.
Not much of a case to be made, 289k..if it's cold, rainy nasty race will drop @30% of riders in first hundred Ks. Don't know what team is going all in on chasing Pidcock, Pog, MVP, Mohoric ,Matthews.. Visma isn't strong,Bardini, Picnic, Solution Tech, Cofids, Israel, Arkea..Somebody make a case to me for anyone staying with pog after a sub 9 minute cipressa. UAE management has said to the press a record cipressa time will yield a selection of 20 riders. How much contact those 20 riders have is an open question and if any of them are teammates with Pogi to the extent he doesn't mind if he's together with those other 20 is another question. If a "full" peloton climbs Cipressa for 9:26, then the best riders should be able to do it for ~9:10.

I'm starting to fear that Pogacar's attempts to win MSR will end up like Sagan's
There. I said it. Am I negative jinxing him?![]()

The timing though😳We gotta chill on Narvaez. We haven't even seen him and Pog in the same race. I don't see how this immediately implies that he won't work for Pog.
Think it would have to be a long way under 9 minutes to make it anywhere near 30 seconds advance at the top.Somebody make a case to me for anyone staying with pog after a sub 9 minute cipressa. It makes sense to put a hard tempo in Capo Berta. We are talking about climbing a 2 km climb at 6% after 250 km even if the race until there is a zone 1 ride (a little bit like UAE Tour's mountain stages). Probably half the peloton will be on the limit there if the pace is high.
Are you Antonio Tiberi?RIP My neighbor's cat
For what?Does UAE get anyone in the break, or is this generally understood not be acceptable for top teams?
I would. I think though that it is generally deemed to be pointless in MSR as the break never survives to the point where the big guns start to fire as the action is so deep into the race unlike Flanders and Roubaix where top 10 finishes from the early break of the day are quite regularDoes UAE get anyone in the break, or is this generally understood not be acceptable for top teams?
Last year the break survived to past the Cipressa and Bais made it quite a while afterI would. It is very easy to control a break in MSR. We have 250 km of flat in this race.Last year the break survived to past the Cipressa and Bais made it quite a while after
