Pogi to GDL is like Nadal to French Open.
You might get a Robin Soderling one year but that race is his, him making double figures is not that infeasible.

Arguably the same applies to LBL, a race he has had misfortune with but it’s hard to make a case for many to beat this Pog there either.
Robin went to two finals. First he won against Nadal, lost to Federer in the final in 2009.

The year after he beat Federer, lost to Nadal in the final in 2010.

Then he caught glandular fever in 2011 and could never return to former level. :(

That win against Nadal was such an upset and Federer almost threw away his chances of winning RG for (almost) losing to Haas and Del Porto.

As a fan, I hope Teddy wins everything and especially RVV, which is my favorite race in the world.

However, I will keep in mind that in RVV 2023, MVDP was caught behind in a couple peleton splits and also almost dropped his chain on Taaienberg ( I think).
True but he never put his nose in the wind in those chase backs as it was Dillier in particular who did the grunt work and was then spent by half distance. I doubt it took that much extra out of him.

While people are saying can pog beat this vdp in RVV or if he beats him in Rvv....🤨 what i would say is if vdp finishes in less than 3 minutes behind pog(barring accidents or bad luck) its over for me. I feel like pog is getting the disrespect that he never deserved due to the outcome of the cicaban race last week.

Don't be silly. If he wins with a 1 minute gap is already a massive achievement.

Anyone saying MVP was doing too much work before Pogacar's attack in Kwaremont is just trolling. The first time he was dropped, MVP didn't put his noise to the wind one time and ended up being saved by Laporte.

One of two scenarios will happen.

- UAE will drill this race from the front, making it as fast and hard as possible one by one before he goes thermonuclear. That way (rider for rider), they have 7 super strong riders.

- Or UAE will try to do all they can to get one of their 7 riders in the break and use one as a satellite rider. Almost all of them, besides Oliveira, are strong enough to add value in a scenario like that too, which would mean Pog wants to go super early. That scenario will also force other teams to use their riders early—a win-win situation. With those riders, I expect they will want to look for and at least try this strategy.

I wouldn’t be surprised for several reasons if he wants to go for the WC approach and try to get one of their riders in the break. The harder and more attritional it gets, the better for him, thats the only thing thats certain, and it can be obtained in one of two. The guy also has no chill so you cant rule out the second option.
