Is Logic no longer your friend? Logically last year is not this year.

Logic says that the "cycling year" has come to pass. And that everybody knows very well from the context what his meaning was.
But maybe it was just a typo, after all, the P is close to the L on many if not most keyboards.

This time "last season" was mentioned, not "last year". Since the season already ended quite a while ago, I would say it's safe to call it last season, as it literally is the last finished season.

Well, you can hardly fault anybody for referring to this year by saying "this year".

Always having to intentionally misunderstand people because they refer to this year by "last year" is another matter.

Technically the 2022 season began on November 1st, so claiming a 2021 race happened last season isn't wrong.

Loool, I initially though it was some 50+ yo guy and only a fraction of a second later I realized it was Pogacar.

Pep: Hey, we are looking for a winger with infinite stamina and your contract with the sheikhs obliges you to play for City sometimes.
Pog: No problem, I'm available until February and in May. How can one even get tired during such easy workouts?
