Who will be the launcher for Pogacar at the Tour or he will attack from a regular hard pace from Almeida? Anyone knows where is Yates?

Pogacar can be 80 kilos doing 5 W/KG. It doesn't matter. What matters is that he did almost 1900 VAM at insane speed on 7.1 %. This is unheard of.

It was an irregular climb. But the Tour will show how strong is Pogacar. He wasn't riding at his full power in the Dauphiné.

Pogi can launch out of any of his 3 -4 climbing doms and leave Almeida to *** wirh the head of Vingo.

Also Wellens in the punchy stages.

Think Yates to be last man for aggressive attacks and Almeida for strong tempo last man in situations where they are just looking to control rather than demolish.

while Almeida is impressive, the field he is dealing with at TdS is not.

I think he will be last man for pog tho (if he needs it that is) otherwise he will be able to ride his own race (kind of like last year) for 3rd or 4th.

Majka is the first reserve IMO.

Of course. However, I believe Pogacar will win this Tour without much difficulty (unless he crashes).
Vingegaard is his only rival. Remco is the third favorite but he lost 1'50" in 7 km to Pogacar (this means a loss of almost 16 s/km) and 2'39" in 12 km (loss of more than 13 s/km). More than what he lost in the Tour last year (bar PdB). But these stages were easier.

This doesn't happen when is UAE pacing the race. First mountain stage will finish on Hautacam. Before they start the climb, Politt, Wellens and Narvaez will reduce the peloton to 40 riders. He will not be far behind at the bottom of Hautacam.

Maybe, but there was not exactly a lot of competition here in Suisse, so it's difficult to say how good Almeida actually is.

Also, it doesn't really matter either way, Pogacar will win because he's just that much better than Vingegaard at this point in his career. Whether they have Almeida there or not.

I find it just as likely that Visma is pacing the multi mountain stages.

So do you believe those I mentioned will reduce the peloton to 15 riders?
I'm pretty sure Sivakov will only pace in Hautacam, not before.
