Exactly.
There's no evidence to suggest that the Giro had negative impact on him.
In fact, based on his performance last year we have more evidence to support a theory that the Giro had positive impact.
I have reams of evidence and shall withhold them until the conclusion of the tour. I may have a special reveal event at that time.

It does seem like a bad plan. But bad plans are sometimes the best ones you've got. It's either this or nothign else, and we can already just go home.
It may very well be the best of many bad options, and vlab surely knows better than us, but I think it's possible to make the case that they should focus their efforts on stages that suit vingegaard best. When vlab go all out to pressure pog on the hilly or classic type stages, normally jonas should suffer quite a lot more relative to pog. I still think their tactic from previous years of going all in on the high mountains is the optimal strategy with Jonas.

That said, it seems that vlab may have calculated after last year/the dauphine that Jonas will not be able to hurt pog in the high mountains, and they have opted for a higher risk all out constant pressure approach. Personally i think its most likely to make vlab weaker in the crucial stages, but I guess it is a gamble worth making

But are they pressuring pogi? It looks to me he’s sitting in for the most part (except winning stages on short efforts) and not being gapped by anyone critical.

What am I missing? It feels like gaslighting

If you were in Visma, what would you do?
But I can agree the way they rode in stage 6 was a completely disaster.

I for sure would save everyone for stages Vingo can make a gap and profit from it. Because right now everyone can see the attempts to breaks no one is threatened by and very small sections of harder pacing without a big purpose. All fart and no poop.

This is Visma's main problem.
Another one calling Pogacar a bully for trying to win.

It is pretty obvious in this case why they are saying that, just because of who is saying it. Why they would try to spin that narrative.

I think you should look up the definition of the word 'gaslighting'
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation where one person makes another doubt their own sanity, perception of reality, or memories. It's a tactic often used by abusers to gain power and control over their victim.

It would be gaslighting to say he is being pressured... while as @scribers says it doesnt look that way. Make it make sense.

And it is also gaslighting from you towards @scribers as well for that comment.

But if Visma believes Pogacar is better or equal to Vingegaard when (relatively) fresh and Vingegaard can't drop Pogacar (and he needs it now) , they have no other choice but make the race all about endurance and recovery and not simple climbing level, which it would be if they make it hard for the mountains alone.

We will see if it has any effects later.

I think scribers was just looking at the current situation.

Visma's entourage has been insulting Pogacar for years.

Calling him a bully for winning, from the team that most GT has won in recent yearsin recent years, the one that won all three GTs and dominated the entire podium in on year,is incredibly hypocritical.

Not to mention what Rabobank was like during Dekker's time. Tony Martin's actions, boycotting races, etc.
Dekker recently insulted him, calling him arrogant and other slights . Dekker calling someone arrogant LOL.

I agree with you. Visma is racing almost perfectly (except stage 6).
However there are 2 things I just don't get it:
- Simon Yates's attack was a abysmal decision.
- hypocrisy: they are making descents very dangerous, here and in the Dauphine while Vingegaard was blaming the peloton for going too crazy on Pais Vasco 2024 in the descent he fell.
I can't stand hypocrisy, specially when we are talking about safety.

Visma is just jealous that Pogačar doesn't ride for them.
