Yeah, he's a one day racer at heart. He enjoyed the last stage despite being fed up with the Tour. Unfortunately he's a decent climber so sheikhs force him to do the Tour :p

Sure. There's no official public statement yet from either Pog or the team regarding it either.

But I think he wants it and part of the plan. Hes made a point of swapping his rainbow jersey every time he on the TT bike, and he talked about it often etc. Also think its a goal that triggers him, something he hasn’t conquered yet. I believe a statement will come soon. But lets see. It’s definitely not sure indeed.

Matxin in an interview said that they told Pogacar not to monopolize so many victories in the Tour and to conserve energy.

I find this incredible. Pogacar doesn't have to be so aggressive in the Tour, but they send Del Toro to win everything he can in Austria, and they did the same in minor races like Abruzzo or Asturias. If they don't want to monopolize the races, they shouldn't go to those minor races to win against Pro Contis teams. But asking their star not to win in the Tour...

Pogacar saved UAE between 2019 and 2021 when the rest of the team was mediocre. Now that they have a great roster, it's Pogacar who has to be generous while the rest hoard victories in minor races for the stupid obsession with the record.

Since the decision to race Roubaix against the criteria of his team directors, it seems the relationship with them hasn't been the same.
In fact, I haven't seen any photos of Pogacar with them on the final day of the Tour, unlike in other years.

And I thing that the decision not to participate in the Vuelta is due to an internal issue within the team. The Ayuso situation could also influence.

There isn't enough time between Montreal and the Rwanda time trial. He might participate, but he'd have to train intensively, and with those two trips, he won't be able to do it in a week.

Montreal is literally just deliberately part of his methodical training build-up for the WC. If he plan on participating he obviously will train for the TT accordingly long before a few days before the race.

He will need to go directly to Kigali and still will not have time to acclimatization.

How boring it'ss between you and the other, and that halo of superiority. Can you respect that there are other points of view instead of judging and telling us how we should express our opinions?

You were also talking about Pogacar's retirement in 2028, and no one asked you to apologize.

Dude, i gave you a fact and you still tried to avoid you were wrong. Cipressa is a 4%climb, of course MVP will be able to follow Pogacar if he is in peak shape.

For the road world championships, yes, but for the time trial world championships, Montreal doesn't seem ideal because of the trip and jet lag just a few days before the time trial. It seems that in Slovenia they're counting on Pogacar to do the time trial, both, Pogacar and Roglic. But I don't know if he'll really dedicate time to it or if he'll do it like he did in Australia, where he had a good performance but didn't specifically prepare for a medal.

He hasn't said anything all year about that time trial. So far, he doesn't seem to be goal for him.

I'd like to because it's an opportunity, but he doesn't seem to be giving it that much importance.

Exactly, but everything around Pogacar is always negative.
Before the Tour, there were some who insisted the Tour would be closer than it has been, even though Vingegaard hasn't dropped him for a long time.
Vingegaard came into this Tour more rested than ever. Pogacar, after a hard spring, suffered a crash in the Tour, and caught a cold, and the result was a Tour that was decided in the second week.
And the people who didn't see a clear victory in the Tour are now the ones most likely to think he'll retire in 2028.

Matxin asks Pogacar not to be a hoarder but they go to another race, Getxo, with a team to be 1-2-3 against procontis.

Pogačar blew up the Strava leaderboards last month, but are his KOMs safe? Slovenian famously caught the ire of locals last year at the Giro.

IMO Strava really need to do better with their flagging rules. The feature can be abused as was the case with Pogacar at the 2024 Giro. A separate subject but worth noting.
