Worth putting into the equation. TT is a niche discipline that requires a lot of focused training. It's not as simple as just pure wattage or raw power.

Im not saying he hasn' focused on it before, because obviously he has done that alot but not to the extent he has in recent months. And that's based on his own words not mine. That will count for something.

I expect a demolishing and would be happy to be wrong.
Aerodynamics is very important. If he was really training his TT, I don't think he can be beaten. Too much climbing.

Then there should be no teamwork either in cycling. Yet there is.

They represent Team UAE. They aren't called Team Pogacar.
Working as a team and racing to the line aren't mutually exclusive. If you don't want to race then at least pretend to be racing by "sprinting" to the line.

Pretending to lose against McNulty would have been more absurd. Better to see the truth, which was a gift, than to watch a pretending to be defeated when he has waited him.

He never went to his limit today. I believe he is hiding a magical shape once again. We will have more informations in the TT.
from the numbers he appears on an higher level than last year at this time. This GP of montreal had the same exact parcours of last year and very similar wheather conditions (actually today was very hot) and he completed the race in 14 minutes less than last year, average speed was almost 2 km/h faster (38.2 last year almost 40 this year). Ofc it is due to how hard the team rode all day but to me he looked great today, and I'm also super impressed by Mcnulty, he gave huge gaps to everybody else (much higher than in the race of 2024). Mcnulty is a serious candidate for the podium in WC

I don't agree but there's an easy solution regardless. Don't give gifts.

Remco is the best in time trials and is very good at 5% . If Pogacar manages to beat him, it will be very close, especially because he took more risks on the descents.

All of this without having seen the course on television. One thing it´s to see the profile and comments; perhaps when we see it on television, we'll change our minds.
But he is worse at 5% than on a flat, also not so good on descent. I just can't see where should Remco be better than Pogi on this course.

McNulty has just been added to the start list for the Tour de Luxembourg.
This race has 26 kilometers of ITT.

He's given the race away to the next teammate who's going to win a competition

I find this very odd. Do we know if this was personal choice or if he was simply not selected.
They included him in the Tour de Luxembourg.
There, he has a 26-kilometer time trial, so it's going to be an easy win for him.

I get the impression he prioritized securing a win in Luxembourg over going to the World Championships. It seems like he's taking the easy route to me.

Pogacar has definitely given the race to the wrong teammate; in a week, he'll be winning a gc  .

Any non-technical section with less than 3% of gradient (positive or negative) so flats or false flats.

I wanted Pogi to win it, but honestly it's the right call. A true leader knows when to "sacrifice" smaller victories and repay their helpers. This attitude is possitive and reinforces his leadership in the team.

With Ayuso gone (thankfully), and except for maybe Vine who is a smaller piece anyways, everyone who is on board on the team for 2026 is fully committed to support Pogacar without hesitation when neccesary.

Just move on come on. I'm pretty sure Pogacar doesn't really care who to specifically gift the win to. He just wants to give it to someone who's done a lot for him in the past. There was no "wrong" teammate to gift that Montreal win.

In that last message I was joking
